LUNA SOL WELLBEING

You carry everyone. Who carries you?

For caregivers, for grievers — including those mourning a pet — and for anyone who's been strong for too long.

ABOUT ME
Founder portrait

I'm not a guru. I'm a grandfather who's been where you are.

After 50 years in technology, I thought I could solve anything. Then life handed me caregiving, and then grief. What helped was slower and simpler — rest without guilt, small rituals, one phase at a time. That became The Balance Path™, and eventually this company.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Luna Sol Wellbeing is a wellness brand created for caregivers and grievers — including those grieving the loss of a beloved pet. It was founded from lived experience: years spent as a long-term caregiver and griever, and the discovery that the body carries loss just as much as the heart does. We offer a guided framework, simple restorative practices, and carefully selected wellness products to help you find your way back to balance.
The Balance Path™ is our four-phase framework — Relax, Restore, Rebuild, and Rise — grounded in yin-yang philosophy and informed by somatic and nervous-system science. The first two phases (yin) are about quieting and replenishing a depleted system. The second two (yang) are about gently re-engaging with life and carrying your love forward. It is a path of balance: rest and action, stillness and movement, honoring what was lost while rebuilding what comes next.
The familiar five stages were never meant to be a checklist, and real grief rarely moves in a straight line. The Balance Path™ is a spiral, not a staircase. You may move through a phase, circle back to it months later, and find it means something different the second time. That returning is not failure — it is exactly how grief and recovery actually work.
It is designed for caregivers — past and present — and for anyone who is grieving. That includes grief for a spouse, a parent, a child, a friend, and, just as fully, grief for a beloved animal companion. At Luna Sol, pet loss is treated as real grief, equal to any other. It is never a footnote here.
No. When you join, a short Spiral Assessment recommends the phase that best matches where you are right now — but all four phases open to you at once. Some people follow the recommended path; others move where their body and heart lead them. Both are right.
It is a brief, gentle quiz that asks about how you are sleeping, feeling, and functioning right now, then suggests a starting phase and matching practices. There are no wrong answers and no scores to pass. We also offer a dedicated Pet Loss edition of the assessment, written specifically for those grieving an animal companion.
No. The Balance Path™ is an educational wellness program, not therapy, counseling, or medical or mental-health treatment. Many members use it alongside professional support, and we encourage that. Grief is a natural human response, not a disorder. If your distress feels unbearable, if you cannot function, or if grief and low mood persist or deepen over time, please reach out to a doctor or licensed mental-health professional — only a qualified professional can assess what you may be experiencing. If you are ever thinking about harming yourself or feel you may be in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the U.S.) or your local emergency number right away. You deserve support.
Completely. Pet loss is one of the most dismissed forms of grief — people are often told to “just get another one” while their heart is breaking. We built a full Pet Loss edition of The Balance Path™ guide and assessment because the bond with an animal companion is real, the grief is real, and it deserves the same care as any other loss.
Yes. Caregivers often live with what researchers call anticipatory grief or ambiguous loss — grieving changes in someone who is still here, while running on empty themselves. The Relax and Restore phases were built with exactly this in mind: you cannot pour from an empty well, and tending to yourself is not a betrayal of the person you care for.
There is no timeline and no finish line. Grief does not run on a schedule, and neither do we. Some members spend months in a single phase; others move through and circle back. The spiral is yours to travel at your own pace, for as long as it serves you.
Relax is where the path begins for many caregivers and grievers. After months or years of vigilance, the body often stays braced — shallow breathing, tight muscles, poor sleep — even when the crisis has passed. This phase is about giving your nervous system explicit permission to stand down, often for the first time in a very long while.
Simple, brief practices you can do anywhere: our signature three-breath grounding practice (we call it the Permission Pause), gentle stillness and body-awareness exercises, and phase-matched essential oil blends. Nothing requires equipment, experience, or more than a few minutes.
Grief doesn't just live in the mind — it settles into the body as tension and sustained stress. The deep, penetrating warmth of an infrared sauna signals safety to the nervous system, easing the body out of its braced state and inviting the kind of rest that grief rarely permits. Many caregivers describe it as the first place they truly exhaled.
A float pod is a quiet, body-temperature saltwater pool where you float effortlessly in stillness — no sound, no light, no weight, no demand. For a grieving nervous system that has been on high alert, the float pod doesn't ask you to relax; it simply removes everything that has been preventing it.
A PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) mat is a wellness mat you simply lie on while it delivers gentle, low-frequency pulses. Within The Balance Path™, it is positioned in the Relax phase as a supportive tool for deep rest — something you can use at home, in the early acute season of grief, when getting to a spa or studio feels impossible.
If Relax is about stopping, Restore is about refilling. Long-term caregiving and grief are profoundly depleting — disrupted sleep, exhaustion that rest alone doesn't fix, and a kind of emptiness that comes from giving everything away. The Restore phase focuses on gentle, consistent replenishment of body and spirit.
Practices center on gentle nourishment and sensory reconnection — including our five-senses check-in (Refilling the Well), restorative daily routines, nourishing recipes from the Balance Path™ recipe collection, and Restore-phase essential oil blends.
Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light in short, quiet sessions. Within The Balance Path™ it belongs to Restore because it speaks to the signature complaint of this phase — the bone-deep fatigue and disrupted sleep that follow long seasons of caregiving and loss — offering a calm, screen-free ritual of replenishment.
For caregivers and grievers, sustained therapeutic touch is anything but a luxury. Many people in grief go weeks without meaningful physical contact, and the body registers that absence. A massage chair offers consistent, on-demand therapeutic touch at home — a daily answer to the isolation that loss so often brings.
Warm water is one of the oldest forms of comfort we have. A hot tub offers gentle hydrotherapy for tired muscles and, just as importantly, a soft doorway back to connection — a place where a quiet conversation with a friend or family member can happen without pressure. Restoration is physical and social.
Rebuild marks the turn from yin to yang — from rest and replenishment toward small, deliberate action. Grief can leave you feeling like a passenger in your own life. This phase is about recovering agency, one small brick at a time: tiny commitments, kept consistently, that remind you your choices still shape your days.
The core practice is the One Small Brick method — choosing a single, small, anchored daily action and keeping it — along with structure-building routines, gentle movement, and Rebuild-phase essential oil blends. The emphasis is always small and sustainable over ambitious and abandoned.
The cold plunge is a deliberate, chosen challenge — a few moments of bracing cold that you decide to enter and you decide to leave. For someone rebuilding after loss, that act of choosing is the point. Many people describe stepping out feeling awake, clear, and quietly proud: a small daily proof of their own agency.
Approached gradually, many people do well with it — but cold exposure is a real physical stressor, and it is not for everyone. Start with short, mild exposure, never plunge alone, and talk with your physician first, especially if you have any heart or blood-pressure condition or are pregnant. Our Rebuild content includes a beginner's progression.
No. Every phase of The Balance Path™ stands fully on its practices alone. The devices are amplifiers, not requirements — meaningful for those ready to invest in them, and entirely optional for everyone else.
Rise is about integration and meaning — taking everything your caregiving and your grief have taught you and carrying it forward. It is not about “moving on” from the one you lost; it is about moving forward with them, letting the love continue in a new form: in your values, your choices, and sometimes in service to others walking the same road.
Rise practices include the First Light reflection — identifying the values your loved one (human or animal) instilled in you and choosing how to carry them forward — along with continuing-bonds rituals, legacy and meaning-making exercises, and Rise-phase essential oil blends. Rise is currently a practices-first phase; we'll introduce matching devices only if and when the right fit is found.
No — and you never have to be. Love doesn't end, and neither does the bond. The Balance Path™ is a spiral: an anniversary, a song, a season can bring you back to Relax, and that return is healthy, not a setback. Rise simply means the grief and the living have learned to share the same heart.
Membership includes full access to all four phases — guided lessons, practices, and reflections — plus the Spiral Assessment (standard and Pet Loss editions), phase-matched resources like the recipe collection and essential oil guides, and ongoing content throughout the year. Everything is hosted right here on our site.
Not at all. The heart of The Balance Path™ is its practices, which cost nothing but a few minutes a day. The devices — saunas, float pods, PEMF mats, and the rest — are there for members who want to deepen a phase and are ready for that investment. Start with the practices; the rest is optional.
Start with your Spiral Assessment result and choose one device matched to your current phase, rather than trying to build a full home wellness suite at once. Each product page notes its phase. If you would like guidance, reach out — we would rather help you find the right single device than sell you three. See “Product Guidance & Support” below for how our team can help you compare options.
Each phase has its own aromatherapy blends, designed as sensory companions to the practices — a scent that becomes a cue for the state you are cultivating, from settling into rest to stepping into the day. Our blending guide pairs each recipe with simple application guidance.
Most orders are prepared within 1–3 business days, Monday through Friday. Once your order is on its way, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as it's available. Larger devices — saunas, float pods, hot tubs — are fulfilled through the manufacturer or a dedicated freight partner, so their timelines run a little differently than a small parcel.
Your estimated delivery window has two parts: the time we need to prepare your order, and the transit time once it's handed to the carrier — which varies by product and destination. You'll find the specific transit estimate on each product page, and the combined total at checkout, before you complete your purchase.
Our Suppliers will drop ship anywhere in the USA. If you're unsure whether we can reach you, reach out before ordering and we'll check for you.
Shipping costs vary by product, destination, and delivery service, and the exact charge is always shown at checkout before you pay — never a surprise after the fact. We will note if any orders qualify for free or flat-rate shipping.
Yes. As soon as tracking is available, we'll send it to you by email. For larger freight deliveries, the carrier will typically also contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment — someone needs to be home to receive these.
Many of our larger devices ship by freight carrier to curbside — meaning the carrier brings your delivery to the nearest safe, accessible point at your address, such as the driveway or garage entrance. Curbside delivery does not include carrying the item inside, unpacking, or assembly, unless your specific product page says otherwise.
For select devices, yes — White Glove delivery brings the product inside and sets it up for you, and it will be offered as an option on that product's page when available.
Take a few minutes before you sign for a freight delivery: inspect the packaging, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt, and take a few photos before you unbox. If anything looks off, keep the packaging and documentation, and reach out to us right away — some manufacturers ask that damage be reported within 48 hours, so a quick check at the door really does matter.
Most of our devices can be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided the product is in its original condition. Because return windows, condition requirements, and any restocking fee vary by manufacturer, please check the specific terms on your product's page before you order — and reach out any time if you'd like us to walk you through them.
Email us at support@lunasolwellbeing.com with your order number, the product you'd like to return, and the reason for the return — a photo or short video is helpful if the item arrived damaged. We'll confirm eligibility and send you return instructions. Please hold off on shipping anything back until we've confirmed the return and given you the correct address and any authorization number needed.
For a change-of-mind return, return shipping is generally the customer's responsibility. If your item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, that's on us — we'll work with the manufacturer to make it right, and reasonable return shipping is covered as part of that process.
A restocking fee may apply to certain approved returns, depending on the manufacturer. We'll always confirm any applicable fee with you before your return is finalized — no surprises.
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos (or video, for a defect) of the product and packaging. Depending on the situation, we'll arrange replacement parts, a repair, a replacement unit, or a refund. Please don't discard the packaging or attempt a repair yourself until we've been in touch.
Every device we carry comes with a manufacturer's warranty covering parts, labor, or both, depending on the brand and product — so your investment is backed by the maker, not just by us. Warranty length and terms vary by manufacturer and are noted on the product page. If you ever need to open a warranty claim, we're glad to help you start that process.
The payment options available to you will be shown at checkout and commonly include major credit cards along with digital wallets. Available methods can vary slightly by device and location.
Yes. Payments are processed through encrypted PCI-compliant providers, and Luna Sol Wellbeing does not store your full card details on our own systems.
The product price, tax, and shipping charge shown at checkout is the total you'll pay us. Depending on your order, you may also see optional charges you choose yourself, such as White Glove delivery, or costs tied to a later return, like return shipping or a restocking fee. Anything like that is always explained before you commit to it.
Start with your Spiral Assessment result — it points you to the phase that matches how you're doing today. From there, each product page notes which phase it supports, along with its space, budget, and setup considerations, so you can compare with your own home and life in mind. And if you'd rather just talk it through, our team is here for that.
Yes, always. Choosing a wellness device while you're caregiving or grieving is not a decision to make alone in a browser tab. Reach us at support@lunasolwellbeing.com or 866-696-5862 and we'll help you think it through — no pressure, no script.
No. Our team can help you compare devices, understand a product's features, and plan for delivery and space — but that guidance is informational, not medical. Please check with your physician about what's right for your particular health situation, especially before starting heat, cold, or PEMF therapies.
We source every device directly from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor — never gray-market. If you'd like us to confirm our authorized status for a particular brand before you buy, just ask; we're happy to share what we can.
Yes — please do. Heat therapies (infrared sauna, hot tub), cold exposure, and PEMF each carry considerations for people who are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, have implanted medical devices such as pacemakers, or are managing other health conditions. A quick conversation with your physician before you begin is always the right first step.
